About: Anxiety is a cognitive and physical reaction to real and sometimes perceived threats. Feeling small amounts of anxiety is helpful. Anxiety protects us from danger. When anxiety becomes overwhelming or occurs too frequently, it impacts your mind and body impeding your performance at work, school, home and overall daily functioning.

Anxiety Treatment: At Mind Matters Therapy Services we treat debilitating anxiety, panic attacks, and persistent worry. You will learn about your anxiety symptoms, coping skills, how to challenge unhelpful thoughts, and ways to address unhelpful behaviors.

Treatment Orientation: Cognitive Behavioral (CBT), Mindfulness-Based (MBCT), Person-Centered, Solution-Focused (SFBT), Strength-Based Therapy.

Appointment Types

New client appointment
  • 60-90-minute comprehensive intake assessment
  • Upon request and with signed release of information:
    • Follow-up with psychiatrist, medical doctor, or any other medical provider
    • Follow-up with previous therapists
    • Communication with involved family members
    • Communication with employers, coaches, other support systems                                                                                                
 Individual therapy session
  • Face-to-face therapy session
  • Therapy tools utilized during session will be provided to you for ongoing use
  • Brain hemisphere synchrony sessions, as recommended/requested
  • Urgent appointments are available to be scheduled within 48 hours
  • Urgent phone consultation in between sessions
  • Upon request and with signed release of information:
    • Coordination of services with family members
    • Follow-up with psychiatrist, medical doctor, or any other medical providers
    • Follow-up with previous therapists
    • Communication with employers, coaches, other support systems
